12.04 beta, I get several of these apport-gpu errors detected. All of
them seem to be false.

Thanks to Alex's tip on avivotool, I was able to try the suggested
settings. According to the output, those were already the values stored
in the registers and the commands had no effect.
FWIW, I discovered that I can reliably cause the corruption to happen in
seconds by loading the game "Secret M
mouse pointer (of my Acer's AS3810T Synaptics touchpad) freezes every time I do
the following things:
1) select "Switch from user..." (in GNOME fallback session, from the session
menu);
2) at the LightDM screen I log in another user (e. g. Guest);
mouse cursor works in that another user session,

of apps that I need for work. When I use an Alt- combination within the
guest (e.g. Alt-F to get a File menu) the HUD on the host shows up.
Turning off the HUD in CCSM > Unity Plugin resolves the problem.

Just did a fresh install of current precise (used beta 2 and apt-get
update && apt-get upgrade afterwards) and the problem is still present.
I'm attaching my /var/log/Xorg.0.log and xinput list-props output for
stylus/stylus eraser (which isn't registering either) and touch (which
is working).

I have the same issue here (i5-2500K). With all 3.2 kernel versions. But
with mainline kernel 3.4rc1 i do not have the issue. Never. With 3.4rc2
it is back.

[915GM] S-video
It's due to gnome-settings-daemon's wacom plugin defaults. This could
also be a "wontfix", since you can map them as you please, and the
driver defaults might not be the "correct" ones in the long run..

I ran into this over the weekend, and it was quite easy to reproduce
using the Disable-Touchpad ( Fn-F8 ) on my Thinkpad T410s. I haven't
been able to reproduce since.
That said, my Disable-Touchpad function key now seems completely broken
( but crashes at least ).

while touching around it works quite nicely now (even though i still had
something hang again, but wasn't able to reproduce it).
But this jupiter6 version has a new problem i noticed compared to the current
precise version:
i cannot move aroun
xsetwacom set "Wacom Intuos4 6x9 pad" AbsWheelDown "key Down"
and
xsetwacom set "Wacom Intuos4 6x9 pad" AbsWheelUp "key Up"
fixes nonexistent scrolling
