with oneiric, so I'm suspecting this to be due either to a gnome-

I just had my nvidia cards replaced, and switched to Xfce as a desktop
and I'm still seeing the issue. So there is definitely something weird
going on software wise.

said screw it, and made the switch to Gnome 3. I now have an almost

Apparently random GPU lockups happen while monitors are asleep. During last
episode something must have gone wrong so I couldn't wake up the screen, and
digging in kernel logs after reset I found out many similar events. I don't see
any consistent pattern, pc is on most of
