i have a Wacom Bamboo CTH-661 Tablet (USB) and when i connect the tablet

Thanks for the reply. Now I tried as you explained and I also selected the
right kernel at the boot procedure. So here's what happend:
No black screen anymore (yeah) but a blinking cursor remains for ever. However,

need to do is just run "sudo dpkg -i linux-
image-2.6.32-24-generic_2.6.32-24.39_i386.deb" (if your arch is i386),

problem with the nouveau driver under 10.04
When I boot the ubuntu-desktop ISO I get a 'messed' up version of the
desktop of a previous boot of karmic. The system locks up and the only
way out is through Alt-SysRq.

Yesterday evening I had a GPU hang after 24h of squeezing the i845. First
symptom was that totem player was shutting down without comment after it had
opened an video which I had already watched before. Then I logged out and
instead of showing the login screen the comput
I have 5 HP Touchsmart TX2 laptops. On all of them, when I do shutdown,
the system appears to shutdown but does not actually turn off. This did
not happen in Karmic. It started with 10.04 Lucid. I tried the upstart
job in comment #3. Has no effect. Have to manually press and hold the
power switch

it takes a little bit longer during unpacking the kernel, for me, it

I have it too on Xubuntu 10.04 and ASUS Eee PC 1001PX.
I use xmodmap to fix keyboard layout a little, then `xset r 105` to set
repeat for the left arrow, which is former Ctrl key. It works, but after
I press one of the several (not all) of the keys with special function
with Fn modifier, repeat is
