Well, I decided to remove it from the system. I like it, but until I get
used to Ubuntu more, I will keep it stored then install it some other
time. It looks good though. I'm glad that I found it.
Thanks everybody.

Yay, well I hate giving up. I decided to try once more, and as I had my
Maclin folder on the Desktop and trying to install it from there, I
decided to transfer it to a Downloads folder and try again. It worked
that time. I have no idea why it wouldnt recognise it on the Desktop,

I am beginning to feel that I am going round in ever decreasing circles

machines both running Ubuntu 9.04 one of which is relatively new and the

Most configuration is now done for x.org with hal, which is why a lot of
the options in your old x.org config file have been commented out. Look
in /etc/hal/fdi/policy to see if there are any files relating to the
wacom tablet. It may be named 10-linuxwacom.fdi, or something similar.

Yes, your old xorg.conf has got all the normal wacom stuff commented out
(but it looks as though it never had the 'pad' section that makes the
circular pad work).
In 8.04, my xorg.conf has these four wacom se
You'll be lucky to find anything to download other than the
trailer ... it was an entry into a viral marketing competition, and no

I recently installed Ubuntu 9.04. When it boots and I log in, I get a
very large screen resolution which makes everything too small. I think
it is 1280 x something. I want it set to 1152 x 864, and every time
after logging in I have to access the Nvidia settings to change the
resolution. If I d
