IIRC, Microsoft won the contract in 2004/5, but the NHS used a linux solution (from Sun?) as a bargaining point to get a lower price from Microsoft. The price paid for the cost of the licenses was £500m. Please can we refer to Microsoft by the proper name, it looks childish and goes against the im
