I have started to notice that the windows Firefox version 3.0.7 crashes
every now and then. The same can be said for the apple version as well, On
Ubuntu 8.10 i don't get that and i notice last night that it loaded pictures
faster than both the apple and windows cussons.

I too have had problems with Firefox. Mostly sites with Flash. I have
tried various recent versions of Flash, and most Flash-heavy sites just
cause Firefox to crash or else I get an error saying that Flash is not
installed. I also use Flock which works perfectly with Flash sites, e.g.
