I am hoping I have got my web pages displaying correctly and am trying
to transfer my files.
However I have come across a problem.
I type ftp from the Gnome terminal and press enter which is accepted, I
then type open ftp.uk.geocities.com where my web space is and hit Enter,
I type my user name and
No I haven't.
I will see if I can get it.
Thanks for the suggestion.

I have information as to getting certain system apps which require the
use of sudo working with speech but I am not sure how I actually go
about creating the necessary file before I log out and login again to

What files do I need to backup as regards a Ubuntu system?
Is it for example just the home directory that needs backing up?
I am the only person who uses my desktop at home so I do not have

Also the backup method I need to use needs to be accessible with my
