Hello I have been experiencing a number of errors recently, with programs crashing reporting seg faults. I have run a memory test and removed what I thought was a suspect stick of ram, but the errors have increased. Are increased frequency of seg faults an indication of something, hard disk

Hi I have a Dell Inspiron 1545 laptop and have been running 9.04 successfully since I bought it a couple of months ago. I've upgrade from 9.04 to 9.10 and I can no longer use it - the system boots and gets to login screen, but since there is no display I can't use it! I reinstalled 9.04 and do
