Wonderful idea! I'll get one. Don't want to get caught out when I'm
away from home and faced with an incompatible router again! I was OK at
the Expo as I had an ethernet cable with me and used that, but

Hi, I have an Acer Aspire One, and I am running Ubuntu 10.10. Since
upgrading to this version, I am getting the same problem, I cant use USB
sticks and I cant plug in my external dvd rewriter. It gives an error
'unable to mount usb stick, not authorised'. It seems to be a Ubuntu

My Acer Aspire One is two years old, came with: Linpus; 1Gb RAM; 120Gb HDD.
It's never had a problem running the full desktop Ubuntu. Some of them at
that time did come with 512mb RAM in which case I would upgrade to 1Gb and
go from there.
Hope that helps.

I wonder if there's something about the most recent Ubuntu communication
with wireless routers that has changed, as I have issues with my wife's
D-Link that she was sent by Talk Talk.
It is absolutely fine on Windows, but on Ubuntu (10.10) it is virtually
impossible to use the wireless, because it
