wanted to car share and split the cost of petrol. I intend to travel to

Wasn't sure how to add myself to the list, and when I did, it wasn't
hyperlink, just the nick. But I'll be there nonetheless ;)

It all sounds very good to me! I'd be pleased to attend if it goes
ahead. If everything specified in the original list goes ahead, yes
we would definitely need more than 3 to 4 hours!

The thought of giving screencasts a go had crossed my mind, but then I
don't have a tidy Windows setup on which to make them. Really must
convince her to try ubuntu.

Yeah I try to explain things to her, but I think it is a
combination of falling deaf ears and simply not getting it. My mum is 66 this
year, has been using a computer a lot more in the last 4 or 5 years as she has
become more or less bed-bound, so its been a good thing for her. But even after

Oh god, don't even go there... My mum has a netbook running XP. I really
would like to get Ubuntu on it, seeing as I am her main support,
although I do live 200 miles away, so support at the mo is via
logmein.com... not that any of this is any reason not to use Ubuntu.
But she really doesn't have

Well as it turns out, April 17 is my Mum's birthday so not likely I
could come anyway.
Its funny tho, as just this week I have been wanting to go only to see
the IMAX Hubble 3D showing in there that's on at the mo. Really
