installed version is apparmor-profiles 2.8.95~2430-0ubuntu5.1. It
recently updated (June 16). I have only rebooted my machine three times
since, and saw the "unconfined" only once. I will continue to watch to

I had a typo in /etc/nsswitch.conf:

checked ps, and sure enough, vmtoolsd was not running.

This is arguably a kvm bug, in that kvm should check /usr/share/kvm
instead of or as well as /usr/share/qemu , so I've added kvm to the

minutes fast. For me, it's been happening since I relocated from the
midwest (U.S.) to France. When I run ntpdate, I get the following:
