fixed in the current release (12.10).
I see USR1 in the do_reload function in the current php5-fpm init
script. If I am wrong, please do reopen.

that fixing this would also fix the UI message being displayed, however,
that's related to bug #1068843. I've updated the bug description to
accordingly reflect the real issue. Doing so we can simply mark this bug

I tried "sudo apt-get install nis nfs-common" on a 12.04 cloud instance
and got a hang on "Setting up nis (3.17-32ubuntu4.1) ...". This looked
like it was hung on a "start ypbind" command. Killing that gives me

until I used it in that the "MAC" column header is used to sort the
hostname. This doesn't really make sense.

Hi Serge,
I cannot see any pattern on boot or reboot of the host. One cold boot
(the first after not using the pci device for a long time) of the host
resulted into the device working properly on the client, but then
shutting down the client again reverted to problem described. I should
have tried
force_hosts is not a hint meant to be exposed to a user. if you want to
force a host as an admin you can use the availability zone syntax:
nova boot --image --flavor m1.tiny --key_name mykey
