Using apt-get update, upgrade i update ovs to version 2.0.2 which is ok with
the kernel 3.2.0-70-generic

The fact is I can mount this share from Nautilus but not do a mount.cifs on it.

Additionally, the mount also fails with mount.cifs, although it asks for
a password before saying 'permission denied'.

I did some more testing :
- It is not a configuration problem: I tried with 'custom location' and
copy/pasted the URI from Nautilus, same result (permission denied, without
asking for a password).
- the problem is specific to a share which is hosted on an EMC array.

Tested the proposed samba package on hardy x86 and everything is working
fine : no side effect caused by the patch and machine authentication is
now working fine even if there is no sambaPwdLastSet attribute in LDAP.

I have made a small patch that corrects this issue.
The problem is the object class "account" is incompatible with the
