I did some more testing : - It is not a configuration problem: I tried with 'custom location' and copy/pasted the URI from Nautilus, same result (permission denied, without asking for a password). - the problem is specific to a share which is hosted on an EMC array. Specifying a share on a windows box works fine. - A colleague running OpenSuse 12.1 (64) is having the same error trying to mount that share in Nautilus.
So, I now think the problem might not be related to deja-dup, or ubuntu for that matter. ** Package changed: deja-dup (Ubuntu) => samba (Ubuntu) ** Summary changed: - 'Permission denied' when using a windows share + 'Permission denied' when mounting a windows share on an EMC array -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to samba in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/946953 Title: 'Permission denied' when mounting a windows share on an EMC array To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/samba/+bug/946953/+subscriptions -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs
