I'm a little concerned about how deep inside the core of Apache this
change is. I think its probably, as you say, a corner case if it causes
somebody issues, but we should make sure it actually works as we think
it does by testing some of those corner cases.

Sorry, probably not what you're going to want to hear but I simply
removed the apache and related packages and finished the upgrade. After
rebooting I attempted to install the apache packages I need only to be
thwarted by apache2-2-bin. Seems that that file was the issue all
along.

I'm pretty sure it's not a nautilus-share issue. Nautilus-share only
deals with the output of "net usershare info" and manages user shares
via the "net usershare add" and "net usershare delete" commands. If "net
usershare info" says that the share exists, then as far as nautilus-
share is concerned
I'm not able to reproduce your issue exactly, but here is information
which shows that the snmp extend functionality is available in latest
lucid.

manual login when NIS or LDAP (or something non-"compat" in
nsswitch.conf) is in use?

Failed to reproduce on samba 2:3.6.3-2ubuntu2.2.
I used "net usershare add test /home/ubuntu/test '' '' guest_ok=yes",
ran "smbclient -L localhost", and the new share had appeared there.

I can confirm that this bug is still present in 12.04 (new install, not

You are right. Adding --bind-interfaces and --exclude-interface=virbr0
allows both the general dnsmasq and the libvirt-bin dnsmasq to start.
