The acpitz virtual device on my laptop reports an incorrect temperature.
This also leads to poor fan control (fan is either on full, or
completely off). I would expect the temperature to be similar to that
from k10temp.

Quick update to my previous update: after rebuilding initrd image with
dmraid & kpartx it's all good, now 3.2.0-24-generic finds the root
partition and loads the OS.

Apparently I have a related problem after an upgrade from 11.10 done using
"do-release-upgrade". The troubled server has all the partitions on a software
RAID 1. With the new kernel (3.2.0-24.37) it failed to mount the root

Put that entry into /etc/nslcd.conf as you suggested (and as the man
page suggests) and removed my 'host' attribute which should prevent me
from logging into my upgraded 12.04 system but it didn't. (NSCD & NSLCD
running, libnss-ldapd and libpam-ldapd installed & configured)

server and I succesfully added the first node, but when tried the next

The broken/nonfunctional udev rule has not yet been removed in kpartx,
but 12.04 uses kpartx to activate dmraid partitions and so supports GPT.

I my recent experience, installing libnss-ldapd and libpam-ldapd (which
in turn install nslcd and uninstall libnss-ldap and libpam-ldap) fixes
the problem on 11.10 and 12.04.

I mean, I tried to install Adobe Flash player, but the installation
failed and the installer recommended me to do: sudo apt-get install -f,
and sudo dpkg --configure -a, which also failed because of the nis.
I tried to update the nis, but no luck.
Can anybody tell me what can I do? I am not good

i'm having the same problem here after upgrade from 11.10, my web server
could not set email using curl and google mail smtp.
i guess the culprit is either between php5-curl, curl, and openssl. :(
is there a way to downgrade each curl and openssl version but still
