Could you check if ssl_disable exists in /usr/share/dovecot/dovecot.conf
- this is dovecot configuration file that is used to build
/etc/dovecot/dovecot.conf. I don't see ssl_disable in it. What's the
timestamp of your dovecot.conf.dpkg-new?

dovecot doesn't support configuration setting ssl_disable
https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/569533
This is especially tricky as it won't let you create two raw vms
(without specifying --destdir) in a row from the same directory. This is
the output for the second run:
2010-04-25 06:21:52,984 ERROR : ubuntu-kvm already exists
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "/usr/bin/vmbuilder", line
So, I've just had the same problem, though changing the Options (to
either 'Indexes' or 'All') doesn't solve the problem for me.
This is a fresh install of munin, on a system freshly upgraded to
2.6.32-21-server running x86_64.
I had changed the permissions on the /etc/munin/apache.conf to read:
@Forest: Ah, that makes sense. I am using a local bind9 as my resolver,
which is most likely not alive by the time ntp is getting bounced by the
network subsystem. Not sure if that makes this bug invalid since it is
not really ntpd's fault.

While this bug is closed, I can add the following info: I did remove
the entire directory of /etc/bind because I was trying to remove a bad

not. I thought it wo

I'll mark "confirmed", as I can reproduce this.
However, this bug isn't in qemu-kvm itself. It's in Ubuntu's userspace,
with whatever is not detecting and respecting the fb=0 and vga-off
parameters. Scott, do you know what this would be, and how to disable
it properly?

Can't use kvm -curses
I also just tried:
kvm -kernel lucid-server-uec-amd64-vmlinuz-virtual -hda lucid-server-
uec-amd64.img -curses -append "root=/dev/sda fb=0"
This, too, works, until we go into graphic mode. Plymouth, I suppose?

Try adding fb=0 on your kernel line (or it might be fb=false).
I used to be able to hack the ISO itself with:
* sed -i "s/initrd.gz quiet --/initrd.gz fb=0 -- /" hardy.iso
I just tried it with current Lucid ISOs and this doesn't work any more
since we've moved to the world of Plymouth on

There is a suid helper program in pam_unix, called unix_chkpwd. But for
obvious reasons it only allows to check the password of the current
