It's possible this machine has an old video card that is not supported
by Unity. It has always fallen back to 2d, is it even 3d capable? Or,
does Unity no longer require 3d capability

The quantal-desktop-amd64.iso file must be in the directory you are
downloading to, which is not always /home/USER. It is possible that the
files on the server were broken at the time, also. 2012-08-18, the
servers were down for while, that w

#xubuntu-devel on IRC or to the Xubuntu mailing list (1). The Xubuntu
developers will then be able to tell you if the assumptions are
correct. To the best of my knowledge, most of those developers do not
follow this QA mailing list.

I can not any way to restart from a live session in Unity. If this is
possible, it would be nice to have it advertised or even added to the

Actually, QA used to be two sections, Testing and Bug-triage. The
change to make QA and Testing the same division, and triage it's own
makes the channel obsolete.

I think this is Ubuntu Desktop only, since Ubu
Ubuntu, one waits for "Try Ubuntu" "Install
Ubuntu" to appear. In Xubuntu, one selects from the CD menu directly to
try or install.

I do not like this new meeting thing. For me, as a derivative QA, it
now costs me two hours for the QA meeting, since I am all of QA for
Xubuntu. We don't have two people, nor do we really have a need for t
ting or even
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/QATeam instead of the blog. To get involved in
QA, one should get involved in either Bugsquad or Testing. Those are
the two areas of QA for volunteers to get involved.

Alpha2 testing is fast approaching. Unfortunately, the accessibility
portion of Oneiric is not ready for testing at this time. We have some
parts working, but much of what is used in Ubiquity is being changed.
Please do not add the accessible installation as a test for alpha2.

The second question, not every test case applies to every installation.
To have more than one root partition requires that you have installed
using two partitions. If you used the entire drive for the
installation, that test case does not apply to your installation.
