First off, I can't thank you enough for getting this working on Nexus 7 2013
flo.
I am very impressed with Ubuntu Touch and have been craving a real alternative
to Android, iOS and the very crappy looking Windows 8.
I just installed it today and things seem to work pretty good for the most

The path to ubuntu root is passed to kexecd' kernel via command line.
The path contains the ROM name, and kernel command line parameters
can't contain spaces. Main part of multibooting Ubuntu is a patch

Yeah, adding support for sideload might be a good idea. It's just alias for
adb push file.zip /sdcard/sideload.zip though, that's all, so it won't be
faster or anything just a tiny bit more user friendly.
You should be able to update these testing images quite safely if you set
FLASH_KERNEL_SKIP=1
MultiROM indeed supports these testing images. Make sure you have the
latest MultiROM and recovery (I've just released new one) and follow
instructions in the XDA thread[1], under "Adding ROMs" -> "3. Ubuntu Touch".

PS: Sorry to Davide
Hello guys, I'm new to this mailing list.
I have a Nexus 7 2013 WiFi, and I'm interested in testing Ubuntu Touch;
I actually tried it a few days ago. I'm also interested in development
for Ubuntu Touch: I would like to help porting the Kivy toolkit to
Ubuntu Touch.
My problem, however, is that

Enabling hwcomposer 1.3 is a bit more work than enabling 1.2, as the pixel

not have this device to tinker with enabling mir on it though.

Hi.I tried to flash Nexus 7 as described, but can't get Mir to work. After final reboot the display constantly turns on and off. The following lines are constantly appearing in /var/log/messages during this:Jan 25 10:26:08 ubuntu-phablet kernel: [ 73.848462] init: sys_prop: permission denied uid:
BTW, the repos used to build this image should be available at
https://code-review.phablet.ubuntu.com/ next week (hopefully on
monday).
