Hello everyone,
A quick e-mail today as I am preparing for weekend overseas travel.
There were more landings today, which were: a hotspot management rework
in indicator-network, unity-scopes-shell and qtorganizer5-eds fixes and
a new ubuntu-system-settings with the display of the OTA number in the

Hello,
I'm curious what do you think about below idea:
In every scope that can use multiply sources there should be button
(probably in options of Scope) to check additional not installed
sources in Store.
How should it work?
When we tap that button, Store scope should open and show what we need

this sounds like a great concept to me, and at some stage there could be
an Ubuntu convergent smartwatch which simply mirrors that part of the
screen. Get the circle window right and we have already built a watch by
accident :)

Just a random idea. How about if we treat the circle like a "window" to our apps
to peek at minimal information and even initiate/perform simple tasks.Sorry I
had to use the word window :D
So for example for audio apps such as music/podcast/audiobook players, show the
album/show/book art as the b

Hi all,
Here are some highlights of what the Ubuntu Community Team at Canonical
together with some other community members have been working on this week:

"No songs played today" is a tellingly example. It should maybe be more of
a "Now playing: ...", maybe even with limited music player controls. I
think a feature like that on the lock screen is just "normal" on literally
every popular smartphone platform. Is something like that on the roadmap /

I would like more useful stuff inside the circle, starting with the
time. I would quite like to be able to tap the power button and without
opening the flap look through the hole and see stuff that I might have
on a round smartwatch. Maybe a clock face, maybe some notifications.
Right now I see
It removed the whole circle.
Case closed :-)

It is technically possible if you edit the qml files of Unity 8 :DBut of course
that is not recommended. I suggest you file a bug as a requested feature. Some
people might be interested of getting rid the circle. But for me, the bigger
issue is the usability of the lock screen. It definitely needs
My bad,...
It's not the obvious place (logically, I would expect it in the
"Background" menu).
Thanks.

Hi mates,
I think he is trying to remove the entire circle, not the statistics...
And that, I think it is not possible

Hello folks.
With all respect, It must be possible to disable the circle on the lock
screen.
For me, It's more important to see my lovely wallpaper.
Do we have a ticket about it (so I can vote for it)?
Can it be configured/done from shell (as a workaround)?
