Just to keep you updated:
I have implemented telepathy-whosthere, a telepathy connection manager for

Did you pass

Preferably its the desktop file belonging to the app, but qmlscene.desktop
does also fine.

Dear all,
I still don't understand fully, how the build process works in detail.
Could somebody explain, how I could create the images that are used for the
phablet-flash tool. Where do I get them from launchpad how do I run the
process (are there already scripts to do that) and finally also how

It is possible to create a new page by wisiting that url, eg.

However someone from Canonical should probably say a word first before
unofficially extending the core apps project.
For now I guess we can use this list. As Canonical seems interested
Yeah, I guess you were right.
I was thinking more along the lines of having a library with everything in
it and only when you open an item you get a music or a video view depending
on the item you selected...
But that's exactly the same as having 2 different apps.
I will attempt to write some pe

As darkdragon said, the problem is that another app has to already be
running for it to appear.
Also, it seems that any app that is not the default blank app (such as

I want separated players. That's it. If anyone is willing to create support
for that, or if everyone likes it I could support it. But I much rather
have them split. We have a beautiful video player already. Also I'm a user
who uses separated players, just as you use one. And I get it. Just not in

Hi all,
As discussed at UDS, we'd like to invite speakers to participate in the
SDK Days next week, an online event happening next week and focused on
showcasing the Ubuntu SDK. So expect workshops, Q&As, developers showing
their cool apps and much more to get you started and learn what's

You can't buy a device with Ubuntu on yet, to be able to get it you have to
unlock the boot loader and flash ubuntu on it via your computer ./ laptop.
The devices that Ubuntu are developing for are Galaxy Nexus, Nexus 4 (~4"

Hope you are all having a great week! We had a busy week this week being
involved in various UDS sessions, and in particular the session we had
on the Ubuntu Touch Core Apps! Here's some quick updates on what we've
been working on this week.

I suggest starting a bit more abstract then that, based on a few use-cases

First, I do think we should move the discussion away from here, so I'm off

Michael, I agree with you that we should probably be talking now first hand
and writing it down. See the mail below.
Zisu, agreed.
But isn't that why you have Kernel or micro kernel + selectable amount of

Ubuntu can offer generic kernel that would definetly work with all major

Ok, the repositories were quite bad yesterday. Now those are fixed and new
image was made. Still the device wont boot with the built rom and with
Ubuntu-image.
Is it so that in future, you’ll get already built rom that you can just flash
for your device?
