10.04 is LTS. there is no NON LTS version. unless you meant 9.04

Problem is solved.
I was assuming that, all daemons will be available in Kernel Source, but
actually they are available nfs-utils available on SourceForge.
In apt-get they are bundled in NFS-Kernel-Server, but I dont want to use
that.

failing. Updates are normally applied before shutdown
