a lot of places to look, starting with the kernel. Can someone
advise where to post such a problem, or offer a solution.

Oops, my bad. I had assumed when I said file system was xfs that GPT was
the default. Sorry for the noise. I have been away from this for a

I have posted questions regarding large file systems. I was able to
reboot and maintain my 8.2TB file system. Commands follow.
My major problem was not setting label type to GPT in parted. Been away
for a couple of years:-(
> sudo parted /dev/sda
rm 1
mklabel gpt
(parted) mkpart p 0 9TB

look at the difference between 27-9 and 27-11, but
could not find the sources for 27-9. The linux-source link is for the
current version, and I cannot decode how to get to the .diff files for
other versions.

I am trying to build an application written in fortran that requires the
hdf5.mod. I have looked in the hdf5 packages, and the gfortran packages,
and find no reference to modules.
In my old Fedora system there modules are in /usr/lib64/gfortran/modules
h5a.mod h5fortran_flags.mod h
