What's the status of pm-utils in Ubuntu? As far as I can see in Ubuntu
Hardy, pm-utils is installed but it's not used by default because
acpi-support is still present. When will we drop acpi-support in favour
of pm-utils?

I tried to install Ubuntu 8.10 Intepid Ibex Alpha2 under VirtualBox
1.6.2 (Ubuntu 7.10 as host).
Just after selecting to install Ubuntu, I get this kernel panic.

Kubuntu Intrepid will bring major changes with KDE 4.1, fixing a lot of
bugs or making them irrelevant. We need help sorting out which
bugs can now be closed, which still need to be fixed in Intrepid, and
which bugs are really important and need to be fixed in Hardy/KDE3.

I realize that Intrepid is already well on its way and it's late for any
change in direction. However, I still would just like to get my hopes
for Intrepid out there. Maybe they'll have to wait for Jazzy Jackrabbit
but hopefully not.

The problem with it is it sends data but ignores all incoming.
I'm guessing that from watching the DHCP frames at boot up.
