Lucid Lynx 64bit (RAID 1 on home partition)
I get this message also, strange thing is I don't get it with Karmic (or

It is not fixed for me. I still have the bug.
It is not present when volume is maximal (100%), but as soon as I lower sound

So I have sound maximal now and I select a suitable sound volume via the volume

Ok, I just confirmed once again that it is not just missing progress
information.
I left it running for over two hours once a check was being done. Nothing
happened no disk activity no blinking hd lights. It's just dead with a blinking
cursor sitting at fsck for sda5 . When I reset it report

apt wants to remove grub2 for machines that did upgrade legacy grub
https://bugs.launchpad
Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: apt
I upgraded some machines from jaunty to karmic. After grub2 chainload went
successful I ran upgrade-from-grub-legacy. grub-pc 1.97~beta3-1ubuntu7 is then
(or at some later time) used.
Now for every machine that has followed the scenario above, apt-g
I ran dist-upgrade (without removing grub1) from a test-machine: grub2
gets removed and it looks like it's falling back to grub1. grub2 is not
installed according to synaptic and it(grub1 ?) is skipping the menu
list at start-up.

But just for clarity this also happens for ext3 file systems.

mountall.log 2>&1" doesn't return. Or is that supposed to be the case?
Ernst my machine is working fine also... It only hangs when fsck is
forced on my / (/dev/sda5 ext3). If I reset the machine after that it
boots just fine. So the o
Not sure if this log is useful at all because it never

Ah, I understand why it doesn't return. It gets stuck at my Private
folder (needs a pass phrase). Considering my Private folder is part of
my /home which is on /dev/md0, which doesn't hang during forced fcsk
(only /dev/sda5 hangs). The attached file should contain all information
