My system: Kubuntu Hardy 8.04 with KDE3 3.5.9 and KDE4 4.0.3
Problem: KDE4 systemsettings -> Country/Region and language -> There is
language: german, and Country/Region: default
If I click change for Country, the "Country selector - System settings" window
pops up and offe
You can install the package ntfs-config and there you can allow write
access for external USB devices. This was the solution for me for KDE4.
Now if the panel pops up, notifying me, that a new USB drive was
connected, I click open in dolphin and the drive is mounted. (Hardy with
KDE 4.0.3)

After upgrading another PC from Gutsy to Hardy and installing KDE4 the
same problem occours. Until now no solution in scope. All bugfixes are
installed, Hardy is up to date.
