server setting in Kopete is not correct anymore. I connect to a server

funny thing: ran with -d to capture output and the problem did not occur.
radio stations seem to remain now when i close and reopen rhythmbox (also
without debug switch)

like flexR says, the 'allow to control pointer using keyboard' was set
to 'on' after i upgraded wednesday to the latest development, from an
up-to-date gutsy.
Before then i could use numlock, and type on the numeric keypad. After
upgrade i noticed soon that it did not work anymore. Eve
my friend today updated also, he does not have this problem.
So i wonder what makes my specific installation different, to have
triggered this.

Both the Kubuntu and Ubuntu installs were from the standard download. To

I have a BFG 7600GT and I also see this problem running the nvidia
driver with Hardy Beta . GDM loads fine and gnome will start up,

The only sound that works on the client are:

have you seen bug report 73346? I am having trouble with sound coming
out of the server instead of the thin client, it might be a similar
problem

I can confirm that with totem-gtreamer installed the sound for gcompris comes
out of the server instead of the thin client on
Edubuntu 6.10

There is already a bug filed for sound on gcompris:

I left a note there to confirm the problem.

I think xmms is ok, it does work when the esd plugin is selected - I
just didn't know about sound plugins and it had alsa selected by
default.
I'll follow up on your other points tonight

Fantastic - I applied the patches and recompiled, and this looks to have
solved all my touchpad woes. I can configure, and I am not getting random

The freeze doesn't happen with the same set of steps always, but Google
Map always freezes the system when one zoomes and drags the map a few
times (now that I tried this ones more, I only had to load the page in
order for this to happen).
Also, using pop-up menus in Eclipse (closing a projekt) an
