Sadly I can't confirm/follow up on this, because the only computer I'm
currently running Ubuntu on has a QWERTY keyboard, the other one I
experienced this on now runs OSX again because I needed it to be able to
use a stubborn printer which I couldn't get working under Linux :(

folks, after a morning fighting similar problems getting my wireless to connect
on a T500 thinkpad,
in particular finding a "iwlagn: Radio disabled by HW RF Kill switch" in dmesg,

THERE IS A WIRELESS DISABLE SWITCH, on the front edge of the T500 keyboard,

Kubuntu would also like to see a transition to fuse3. At the moment
fuse2 being apparently mandated on the ISOs due to platform live-common
seed (See analysis by vorlon in LP: #1916390), we are blocked from
including a couple of things on our ISO that require fuse3, as this then
breaks the ISO buil
