am trying to set up device Huawei ETS 2288 FWT CDMA data phone and this is the
process and the error i get

After update to latest kernal for Ubuntu 9.04 in which the bug regardin
setting up usbserrial modem / device was recitified

This is regarding a device - Huawei ETS 2288 (CDMA Fixed Wireless Data Phone)
its details are
vendor=0x0451 usbserial.product=0x3410
This *used to work on 7.04 and 7.10* and stopped being able to work on
9.04 and 8.10
The issue is the same as for the rest of the devices so would love to
see

Tried to follow Peter Graner's suggestion of adding a line during the
boot sequence
so did that
added
usbserial.vendor=0x0451 usbserial.product=0x3410
then booted and then tried wvdial and got this error
laptop:~$ sudo wvdial 93

Ok how it works under 7.04 is that i have been making a rules file under
/etc/udev/rules.d
the file is called

3.5.2, the problem is the same
My machine is a t 60 lenovo thinkpad with an x1300 ATI graphics card.
Not sure how to find what drivers i have but among all the others i have

Ok tried that , to add a new profile and use that,
that did not solve the problem
I tried to update to the latest in the repositories, even enabled the
pre-released and unsupported the updates.
Tried uninstalling firefox completely - Complete Removal and then
reinstalled only version

What i wanted to write was that maybe this firefox bug should be closed,
because its possible that there was a conflict in packages as they were
drawn from difference sources. To explain further:
My fresh install was Ubuntu 9.04, after the fresh install i added
packages from Linux Mint 7 Glori

Seems like the slow internet is not the only problem,
I am unable to post this comment, its the 5th time i am trying.
This bug is still a *big* problem,
It has reappeared in 9.10 and this time i have been careful about what
all i install, I have added medibuntu repos and installed googleeart
Am attaching more pictures of the errors in firefox
seems like one of the previous images posted was for the mobile platform
from yahoo
so to make sure that the correct error is know.

I would like to report a problem the same problem with firefox in Linux
Mint on an HP Pavilion dv5 series laptop.
Yet again firefox has problems rendering sites like gmail etc.
