Public bug reported:
Tried using a freshly downloaded Ubuntu 8.04 with the windows installer.
Everything went fine but on rebooting and selecting Ubuntu as the operating
system got the message - Unrecognized partition table for drive 81. Please
rebuild it using a microsoft compatible Fdisk tool
like a modeline issue.

Dear Sebastien,
Am a layman at this, took a shot at trying the beta version as I saw that label

What could I do but remove the OS - will reinstall once more but could
someone give clear instructions on which files you would need to check.

On trying an upgrad this is what I got
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
The following packages have been kept back:
abiword abiword-plugin-grammar abiword-plugin-mathview accountsservice
apparmor aptdaemon bamfdaemon calibre calibre
After installation while online with updates, on completion, if one
tries to install Ubuntu One ones sees that wobbling list of updates that
one has not installed. Is that why?
