kernel in feisty so far).
2.6.20-[9-13]-[generic|lowlatency|server] don't have this behaviour.

I updated an AMD64 box to karmic recently. There was always a HP Laserjet 5P
running on that machine (worked until the update).
It took me ages once to find out the correct device string (something like
hal:/org/freedesktop/HAL/usb_no_serial_if0_serial (out of my head ..)),
OK, the hint with parallel:/dev/usb/lp0 and *not* blacklisting usblp helped.
printer is not detected, but prints :D
anways, everytime I plug it in the segfault in libc-2.10.1.so is logged. so,
printer is running, but still this is a bug.

After some more testing, I ended up seeing "Error 13 - SIM Card failure".
Next step was testng with another, then a new SIM card.

tho, probably related to my custom partitioning. as I created alle the
LVM stuff beforehand (as the installer cant ..), I create a ne w
partition map as well, and probably the installer wasnt able to write
grub into the GPT partition table or got confused by it. tho, grub2
