he mac4lin pack, and accidentally selected the pack as a whole.
Consequently, "appearance" window disappeared, and it generated the bug.
I am pretty sure that the problem is not a serious one, but I sent the
bug report just in case.

dell inspiron 8600i + Xubuntu Feisty Herd 5 and the same problem...
I cannot get 1680x1050 without manual configuration (which means a lot
of work)... Actually, I don't understand; ubuntu, (k)ubuntu and many
other distro work very well... just Xubuntu doesn't want to work easy!
