I did a compile from SVN, including that fix.
And the problem remains the same.
The ipod-convenience package does the fuse/sshfs mount, but that mount
is not declared/seen by HAL, so Amarok still does not check it, so no
iPod Touch/iPhone is seen by Amarok.
Amarok logs with the latest SVN
OK, I have setup the ppa and upgraded the Amarok package.
It is complaining heavily about a few modules at startup (Librivox,
Lyricwiki), probably not related to our case.
And the result is the same, negative.
The sshfs mount is still not declared in HAL, Amarok uses Solid to
detect devices, Sol
Oh well, of course, at this point, all hope is lost for Intrepid, but it
would have been nice to have a cvs version, as the new models of iPods
would also have been supported.
Any instructions on how to properly package libgpod yourself anywhere ?
any PPA available ?

In a folder's messages list, delete 1 or more messages, the last one is
shown as marked deleted (strikethrough) but does not disappear from the

the new gnome-power-manager in -updates fixes the last OSD issue on my
Dell Precision M65. So all loks good to me.

Adding options snd-hda-intel model=dell-m42 in /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base
keeps the volume stable when using linux-backports-module on my M4300.

tabvar.sty requires varwidth.sty wich is not included in texlive-extra
(in fact, I couldn't find it in any package using search function of
Synaptic).

I can't start f-spot anymore, it complains it can't connect to dbus.
I use Ubuntu Hardy (updated this afternoon - 22/04/08).
