thrilled with the current (presumably final) icons for Karmic. Now that
I know what to look for, I definitely notice the difference between new
messages and no new messages if I explicitly look, but I actually had to

I have the same problem with 32bit firefox in amd64 installation.
No printers are displayed, just like in the initial screenshot. If I save the
file, close evince, start it again from cmdline and load the PDF, then I can
print.

I've been reporting this all over the place, trying to find out where it
fits best :( I have a problem with empathy and indicator applet that I
often miss new messages for some time (and until I had trained myself to
look for the black indicator
I have noticed now, that if the bug above appears, minimize and then
restore Firefox and it allows the auto-complete to return and you can
type in URL address bar and search box.
There is still a bug though - this should not happen in the first place.

As long as the indicator applet is visible, I can see new messages
listed in its pull-down menu and don't need the empathy icon in the
tray. However, the indicator applet does not seem to look any different
when there are unseen messages, and so I don't realise that I have to

By the way, I think there is some slight confusion in some of the
comments above. It seems to me that the check box in the settings
dialogue ("Use message indicators") means that empathy should use the
indicator applet *instead of* its own panel icon for notification.

particular I didn't make the connection between that and new messages in

empathy, but I couldn't see any way to tell whether the indicator applet

This is happening on both my desktop and laptop and a friends laptop.
We all have 32 bit Ubuntu 9.04 installed.
Everytime the screensaver kicks in, you cannot type in the search bar as
it keeps highlighting and clearing what you've typed.

I have Empathy set to auto-join various channels on freenode. Sometimes
however it fails to do so with no visible reason, and I can't make it
join without restarting Empathy.

I also had it the Oops without the non-free drivers. I attempted a reinstall.
Tested it before installing them.
The only other thing that it effects, as far as I can tell. Is that my monitor
will not go to sleep afterwards. Without the Oops issue, it works as I expect.

active=false remotely, which I did, just use ssh -X u...@hostname gconf-
editor. You will need to log out, if you already logged in via rdesktop

I am running Ubuntu 20.04 on a new ThinkPad P14s AMD. I noticed that my
trackpoint was very laggy and choppy.
After a while I realized that the trackpoint is smooth as long as I am

that did the trick. Upgrade worked for the most part. One amateur radio
lib is still acting up, but that seems a minor issue, as the system has
been upgraded successfully and seems running smoothly so far.

I can't believe this is not yet nailed down. I kinda lost believe in the
AMD comeback.
I do have this issue.
My setup is a 2700X on a Gigabyte B450 AORUS PRO.
I did hunt this freeze issue down to the behaviour decribed here: System
is sudd
1.6.2 in 18.04 would be a life saver as I have hit this issue and the
only resolution is to compile iptables myself. I can verify that 1.6.2
resolves this issue and I havn't had any other problems on 18.04 as far
as other tools calling 1.6.2
