Confirmed on Ubuntu 10.04 "Lucid Lynx" alpha 2 with poppler updated to

The same problem also occurs when selecting part of the text with the
mouse.

I'm unable to reproduce this here on a 17 inch 1152x864 screen (detected
by RandR as a 16 inch screen).
Uname: Linux 2.6.31-16-generic i686
Package versions:
evince 2.28.1-0ubuntu1.2
poppler 0.12.0-0ubuntu2.1
Your experience is possibly due to using such a large screen at such a
low resolution.
Linux kernel 2.6.33-rc3 has just been released. The release notes at
