Thank you for explanation, I wasn't sure how bugs like this are handled.
I don't think it meets criteria from StableReleaseUpdates.
I worked this around (just one mail so far in my case), so it no longer
affects me. I think it will be easier (for others that may encounter
this bug) to use
I'm experience the same issue, having 2 disk in soft RAID when one fails
trying replace it and booting into normal mode i'm unable to input 'y' after
question of booting into degraded mode (strange enough i've boot degraded set

If this image is really copyrighted (and I personally think it is) I

For me it was enough to just run make, sudo make install.
Chese detected camera without any additional steps, for skype i used:
LD_PRELOAD=/usr/lib/libv4l/v4l1compat.so skype
Now everything works fine

I've just tested it with Cheese and it works,
I've double clicked on Volume control icon and chosen USB Camera (Alsa mixer).
But, it is possible that my sound setting are not 'default'. When i
installed Ubuntu i had problems with sound in Skype, so i had found some
commands to run in shell an

just removed their own ultra-generic "text-x-generic" fallback that had
nothing to do with the fallbacks defined in the shared MIME database, so
this fix seems OK.
