I think the point of this bug is that by default, the sound of tuxguitar is not
working.
That forces the users to look in google or forums looking for "no sound in
tuxguitar" to get it to work, that is not user friendly.
True story: a friend has been using tuxguitar with no sound for months, he
gsxruk, I had the same issue with the 177 driver in Intrepid.
I have installed the driver nvidia-glx-180 (now available as a package in
synaptic), and I'm happy to say the issue seems to be gone.

The problem is still in Ubuntu Hardy Beta (amd64 version).
The applet show and empty trash, and hovering the mouse on top of it show the
tooltip "No Items in trash".
But double clicking on the applet opens the trash, which is full of files.

The solution was to install linux-restricted-modules-2.6.20-16-generic.
The bug should be about checking that a proprietary driver is present, and if

I could reproduce with Natty running in VirtualBox
(with host computer using ATI Radeon HD 4550)

Stop, pause, play, previous and next song all work.

I don't think the bug is invalid, I am getting the issue (no Unity) on a
fresh install of Natty on a T420 with a Nvidia NVS 4200M.
Jockey-gtk shows that nvidia-current is installed but not in use.
I did not install proprietary drivers, so I wonder why it is installed.
Note: I did get Unity on Ubu
