be turned off by default.

I had the same issue, right after the ubuntu 9.10 64-bit server install.
My system has also 2 disks. In my case, I noticed that the disks were
connected to sata ports 3 and 4 respectively on my motherboard. By
swapping the sata connectors to ports 1 and 2, the problem was magically
fixed :).

My Sony VAIO VGN-SR19VN of August 2008 crashes when using KDE 3.5 or KDE
4 at the moment I choose to logout.
This happens only at logout, so not when restarting / hybernating /
suspending / shutting down.

Perhaps it just amounts to installing the right firmware? However the
restricted drivers program (now called "hardware drivers") does not

I can most easily reproduce the problem when I push a crash site into a
robot, causing a 'SPLASH' balloon to appear. Around that balloon the

yes every time I use I can't minimise it, also it seems the right-click
menu option to minimise to the taskbar does not appear. Is this a new
'feature'?

even when I install the xfonts-75dpi and xfonts-100dpi I do not get
these fonts.
$ sudo apt install xfonts-75dpi xfonts-100dpi
$ xlsfonts | grep helv | wc
0 0 0
On another note, in my case xscreensaver seems to be requesting the
"dina"-fonts. I get the error messages like:
xscr
update: after a reboot, -adobe-helvetica-... fonts are indeed present.
next, changing the fontname "dina" in ~/.Xdefaults into "helvetica"
resolves the above issue with Xscreensaver.

When you close the lid keyboard backlight goes out.
Then, as soon as you touch a key, it pops on. So the keyboard is responding...

I confirm also the issue on my ThinkPad X1 Yoga 3rd gen
Worked like charm before last update. Current kernel is 5.8.0-45 generic.
Freeze as soon as the sytlus approaches the screen. I tried to remove all wacom
package without success (however, reading the previous post, bug seems to be on
a ker
As already mentioned before, booting on kernel 5.8.0-44 fixed the issue also on
my system. I tried also with the 5.8.0-45 kernel to remove
xserver-xorg-input-wacom package but still crash. There was no way to remove
libwacom2 alone to test if it's the fallacious package, because it remove also
