Sorry for the long delay, but I today upgraded to jaunty (RC) and the
freezes still occure. In addition a freeze while browsing the web using
epiphany occured. Browsing the web was stable while still using 8.10. I

After my f-spot was not able to download photos from my camera (it
already worked) I foudn out that /etc/udev/rules.d/45-libgphto2.rules
was missing. Cameras ended up beeing ownd by root.root.
The following command created the file, but this shoudl be done in a post

I've a very similar problem here too. But for me it works until the
system comes bakc from the first suspend to disk. I once saw 3 wired
connections like wolverine741776 reported here earlier, after an update
(just now) I can't see any network connections in network manager any
more. Wireless work

It just (started) to happen again, I started 2 memory-demanding programs
(each using 2GiB memory approx.), I do however have 8GiB memory
installed.
The system froze for 2 Minutes (or so), no mouse cursor, sound stopped,
sporadic hard disk activity.

I found a way to work around the issue:
$ xrandr --addmode VGA1 1280x1024
$ xrandr --output VGA1 --mode 1280x1024
but I have to do this after every reboot which is not a good solution. I also
found out that EDID information is not detected correctly by the i915 drm
modul, as
/sys/module/drm/dri
It is no Laptop, it is a PC and the monitors are connected directly.
I tried booting the system with the VGA monitor not attached and attached it
later (when logged in already).
The monitor was detected, with reduced resolution however, so this dit NOT fix
the issue.

When playing youtube videos in fullscreen after some time the screen flickers a
little bit.
When switching back to non-fullscreen the box freezes hard. Both monitors
are solid gray or green. Audio stops as well. Power-off is the only

I am not really sure wether ecryptsfs is causing this or not, but here is my
setup:
ext4 filesystem
ecryptfs $HOME
a somewhat-sized git repository in $HOME
I just issued a git -status and learnt about modifications to a file I
never touched. This happens for the second time
