The same for amd64. It seems like the bug prevent evdev to find mouse
and keyboard. I have used 'old way' xorg mouse and keyboard drivers and
fluxbox to be able to report this confirmation (KDE is not usable - it
seems like kwin still needs something provided by udev - only apps
canvas are shown -

described here - and have no other problems as described in that bug.

I have noticed the same degrading as you, Hhewbert , but I guess it is
related to changings in kernel's scheduler. Besides less DE responsivity
I catched some other slowdown. Say, MPD player clicks when some JVM
application is eating CPU actively (such building NetBeans from
sources).

James, it strange. For me 3.5.3+build1+nobinonly-0ubuntu3 crashes. And,
well, upstream didn't patched the app yet.
I have noticed the app crashes with Cntrl-C done in any (among those I
have tried) java Swing applications before clicking on bookmarks.

After last upgrade to lirc-0.8.6-0ubuntu1 irexec doesn't respond to RC
commands. All was fine with previous version. I have tried to stop lirc
daemon and test with mode2 command - all is ok. lirc_serial driver is
loaded. After lirc (re)starting and

To maintainers: are there any reasons for:
1. the bug even isn't confirmed for firefox-3.5 (for firefox-3.0 only),
2. the patch (three new lines and one changed line only!) suggested in upstream
bugzilla (even being a workaround) isn't even tried?
Sorry for persistence, the issue is indead very,
I'm not sure "no more problem" are valuable for hundreds firefox users having
the problem.
BTW, it is xulrunner bug, rather firefox one, as was shown in upstream bugzilla.

I have found an appropriate upstream bug:

Unfortunately, resolving the issue is postponed in spite of the
workaround patch existance. Will Ubuntu team be so kind to try the
patch? The issue is extremly annoying being widespreaded. Thanks!
