I'm running 3.80 it is no different.
Since the fans seem to be affected as well (see loliverogue's post about
fixes working in fiesty but not in gusty) isn't it reasonable to assume
that we're back into the whole ACPI mess again with these laptops. Under
gusty mine has the same problems (
I removed Ubuntu from the laptop and tried out Fedora 8 Test 3. Since
Fedora 8 is very close to release after updating it is more or less what
it will be like when its released at this point. Under Fedora:
Sound does work out of the box if booted with acpi=off
Sound does not work if booted with ac
