I removed Ubuntu from the laptop and tried out Fedora 8 Test 3. Since Fedora 8 is very close to release after updating it is more or less what it will be like when its released at this point. Under Fedora:
Sound does work out of the box if booted with acpi=off Sound does not work if booted with acpi_osi=!Linux with or without a fixed DSDT Sound does not work if booted normally with or without a fixed DSDT. Fedora 8 is using kernel 2.6.23 and ALSA 1.0.15 I'll check to see if there are any bugs filed with Fedora about this -- toshiba p100 series dsdt acpi error no sound, works with acpi turned off. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/136469 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
