PS: I tried downgrading to the older version in the Jaunty repos, but
that didn't work. I went through gconf-editor to see if there's anything
in there to "reenable" the Tools menu in the interface, but I didn't
find anything.

Sorry, but I wasn't able to re-test this in time.
I now have the final release of Jaunty 9.04 and can confirm that this is
no longer a problem. Ext4 partitions format fine!

Time). I am *still* getting my WLAN connection reporting at 1 Mbps or
(occasionally) 5 Mbps. Even when looking at my router from 1 metre away!

Well uninstall all the extra gstreamer plugins. Untill my mp3's stopped
playing.
Started totem up and it asked for me to install a codec. I selected the
Gstreamer Extra Plugins, which appear to install the Gstreamer Ugly

For an xubuntu 14.04 VM, '-vga vmware' and '-vga qxl' work (yay), but
'-vga std' and '-vga cirrus' are still corrupted.
(host qemu-kvm is running in debian/wheezy, version 1.1.2+dfsg-6+deb7u1)

/dev/sda.
