Hi Yannick Thanks for responding, but with all due respect, did you actually look at the screenshot I included with this bug report? The answer you point to did not address the fact that I have no Tools menu.
I followed the configuration wizard and set up an account with DiamondCard. Ekiga tells me that everything is fine with both of the accounts - status is registered with providers. However, I do not have a Tools menu, so I can't place PC-to-phone calls or SMSes. Can you please look at the screenshot and tell me how to get to the Tools menu, so I can call landlines and SMS? Otherwise I am going to have to give up on Ekiga. I can also confirm this is happening on a SECOND machine running Jaunty 9.04, with the same package.
