Thank you SO much, Florian, for that link. I was digging around in
/etc/acpi/resume.d/ and suspend.d/ yesterday trying to figure out how to
do just that.
It's exactly what should be done until that driver can suspend; it works
perfectly.

Wait, wait-- Ok, I turned the machine back on again today and when it
resumed from suspend, there was no networking icon in the tray at all.
I did the rmmod thing, the modprobe thing, nothing happened, and I
restarted.

aaand now it will not enable scrolling (only verified with vertical
scrolling) and I can tap "enable touchpad" on and off with the
touchpad.
This entire settings dialog has become worthless, I'm going to reboot
and see what happens.

ALSA plugin for PulseAudio is broken.
Gnome sound recorder should use PulseAudio natively. Bad gstreamer sink

It seemed like it was fixed for a while, and then re-appeared. I just

I have this problem after attempting to change the webcam resolution.
It hangs before even erasing the combo box menu.

Ah, okay, I see. Well, I don't have those two monitors now, I have a
MAG Innovision, but the specs should be about the same. Still got the
ati card, /plus/ a new ubuntu inspiron that seems to have maybe been
fixed this third time sending it in to dell..

My keyboard layout was not in the CD keymap options so I had to set it in
gnome's keyboard thingy after booting.
After changing it, it seemed to work fine almost, but I had to runxset
r 66 to actually make it work correctly.

alpha 4 uses the drivers for the DCP-7025. This bug is also present in
previous versions of Ubuntu.
The drivers are under the GPLv2.
The correct driver to use for the DCP-7020 is the HL-1250 printer

When I logged out and back in, I found gdm still uses the incorrect resolution.
gdm and gnome of course should use the /same/ resolution of course,
this isn't gentoo, we don't need seperate driver settings for each
user.

Colemak is not in the keymaps list at the livecd main menu (hit F4).
Colemak can be selected from the layouts under language -> english.
To make backspace repeat properly, type:
xset r 66
If you switch to qwerty, it turns the caps toggle back on and breaks
the layout for that
Quick note: before disabling Caps_Lock and setting key 66 repeat, be
sure that the current capslock state is /off/.
