Public bug reported: When I plug in my Brother DCP-7020 all in one printer/scanner, Ubuntu 8.10 alpha 4 uses the drivers for the DCP-7025. This bug is also present in previous versions of Ubuntu. The drivers are under the GPLv2.
The correct driver to use for the DCP-7020 is the HL-1250 printer driver. The scanner drivers are here: http://solutions.brother.com/Library/sol/printer/linux/rpmfiles/sane_debian/brscan2-0.2.4-0.i386.deb http://solutions.brother.com/Library/sol/printer/linux/rpmfiles/sane_debian/64bit/brscan2-0.2.4-0.amd64.deb ** Affects: libprinterconf (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Brother DCP 7020 uses wrong drivers https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/258058 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
