I'm not convinced that its a beryl svn bug. I get the same error with
other python gtk packages like straw rss reader. I havent changed the
path or anything else.

libsdl was definitely working before the 12th. However, I don't think
the removal of arts is to blame, at least not directly. It just seems to

I get the same problem. Another problem is that kiki tries to install
the python-wxgtk2.6 dependency which it doesn't actually need as python-
wxgtk2.8 will do. It also doesn't need to *be* a dependency for spe. If
I remove kiki because python-wxgtk2.6 keeps crashing on install, spe is
also removed
xwindow server with the last liveCD of
Knoppix nor with the liveCD of Puppy-linux.
But, I really like xubuntu and want to keep it on this old laptop.

After an update, gdm seems to have segfaulted and just crashes as soon
as it starts. It repeatedly restarts and crashes, until it shows an
error which is something along the lines of GDM has just crashed 6 times
in the last 60 seconds, it will be run
I think I've made a lot of progress now. Seems like my user settings are
what's causing the problems... I added a new user with a clean home
directory and gnome-app-install works perfectly. Now, the only thing
left to do is to find the offending configuration file... Oh and some
programs still dont
Ok, I'm currently on the live cd and I can't reproduce it. I don't know
whether it makes a difference but since its on a live cd, I can't test
dist-upgrading... gnome-app-install works fine though as do all the
other apps that had this problem...

I am having the same problem. I looked into it a bit and found that the
subtitles are not actually being XORed; I think what's happening is that
when the subtitles are alpha blended into the image, an 8-bit alpha
channel is being passed to a blending function designed for 4-bit alpha
channels, cau
I just rebooted today after the latest updates and the screen came up
with the low resolution warning again. I switched it back to 1280 x
1024 and now the screen saver seems to work again...but I still can't
use the 1680 x 1050 mode that worked in Feisty.

This only helps if you have problems connecting bluetooth peripherals

I seem to keep getting this error no matter what version of ubuntu I
have since feisty. When I did a fresh install of Feisty, I had this
error. When I did a fresh install of Gutsy, I got this error. This
causes some python programs to stop working

All I did to remove it was delete all the big log files in .beagle/Log/.
It seemed that beagle kept looping on one file creating a huge log that
filled my partition. You could use a livecd and install baobab, use that
