Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: linux-image-2.6.31-2-generic
I'm running Karmic Koala 64bit and I'm experiencing freezes of the whole
system when I boot up with a 2.6.31 kernel after I log in. After the
freeze the system does not respond to anything (not to ssh, ping,
ctrl+alt+f1 or REI
I forgot to tell, but I'm using Kubuntu btw.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but first you used a kernel for a 386. The one you
used after the upgrade is for a 686-system. Is this a typing error? Because
it would be of great help if it's the 386-version
