Sorry, I forgot to say: I have a dual boot system with Debian Lenny and
Ubuntu Jaunty. With Lenny the suspend/resume works out of the box.
So it should not be impossible to resolve this problem.

I hat the Problem in Alpha 6 only with a damaged CD image. Burning the
image on a new DVD-RW solved the problem. So I suppose it is not

**i am a lay user trying to figure out lucid lynx by myself**
was trying to bring some colour to the boot menu and ended up here; believe it
is appropriate to report the bug! sorry cannot explain it in technical terms.

unfortunately thats not solving the problem. the output video still isnt
16:9. i simply changed the resolution to 720x480. and left the aspect
ratio to default (didnt change it).
i have attached the output file.

The MS Compatible AVI format doesnt produce proper 16:9 videos. The output
video has the wrong aspect ratio. 16:9 doesnt work under that setting.

Just wanted to report that I hit this with Karmic on a Lenovo T61 as
well. The -173 with an older kernel was doing fine, but then I have
updated the system. Eagerly awaiting 185.18.36 for karmic

-185 driver. Eagerly awaiting the 185.18.36.

I am hitting the same problem. This reproduces 100% of the time.
Additionally, it takes me to the system configuration screen. It has
somehawe reset the hostname of my laptop, too, and asks me to create a
new user apart from asking about keyboard layout, time zone, & language.
