I confirm the same problem. Like Samsam, ' alsa force-reload ' will
enable sound after waking up from hibernation. This is not a good
solution because it will kill all programs that are using sound. I
believe there needs to be a proper update for the pm-utilities in
conjunction with the kernel. As

I can confirm this bug too: hibernate works with 2.6.24-16, but not with -17
and -18 (not tried -19 and above). I am using -18 because -16 has sound
problems (however, I still can't make -18 recognize my system's microphone).
